Not an about page. This is what an evening here is actually made of.
The Room
Around ninety seats gathered tightly around a small stage, each table with its own lamp. Nobody sits far from the music. Front row for the players, the lounge for conversation, the balcony when you want the evening to yourself.
The Sound
The house band leans on the classic songbook — bebop, swing, soul-jazz — and the guest nights open the room to blues, vocal jazz and contemporary Armenian players. Two sets a night, with a jam session when the room refuses to go home.
The Bar
Classic cocktails made without hurry, Armenian wine and brandy, and a kitchen that serves through the whole performance. Come at doors, eat before the first set, and let the second one stretch.
The Story
Founded by Levon Malkhasyan — Malkhas — the club became the home of jazz in Yerevan and a stop for visiting musicians from around the world. Generations of players have grown up on this stage, and families still come back on the same night every year.
